Course Description

Are you a business owner in Georgia looking to GROW your business? Attend this introductory program to understand how QuickBooks (QBO) can help your business be more efficient to successfully take your business to the next level.

This session will provide you with the information necessary to ensure that you are running the business successfully by managing your numbers. Financial statements are not just another requirement for tax purposes. These reports are key to a successful business operation. Learn how to use QuickBooks to your advantage and ensure that you are being profitable, reduce time by ensuring that you understand how to navigate the program, how to save time by understanding how to setup account and sub account in the chart of accounts, how create estimates, invoices, sales receipts. How to set up Sales and Use Tax, track and receive payments, write checks, and do journal entries. Understand why it is important to do a bank reconciliation and how to complete it in QBO.

  • Track Sales and Invoicing: Vendors, Customers, Products & Services
  • Payroll, Independent Contractors (1099)
  • How to create Basic Reports
  • How to navigate the Chart of Accounts
  • How to set up accounts and sub-accounts
  • How to set up and report sales tax
  • How to create estimates, invoices and record a purchase, and create a sales receipt.
  • How to write checks, how to create and edit journal entries.
  • Intro to bank reconciliation

Learner Outcomes

  • Understand the key components of navigating the Dashboard with efficiency.
  • How to save time by connecting your bank accounts to QuickBooks and reviewing transactions prior to recording them in your accounting software.
  • Understand how tracking sales and invoices can help your cashflow and increase your profitability by ensuring you are pricing for profit, collecting your cash within the agreed upon timeframe and identifying bestselling items for your business.
  • Identify the key differences between payroll employees and an independent contractor and how to properly record these transactions in QBO.
  • Navigate the Chart of Accounts and understand how to set up, edit and navigate accounts in the chart of accounts.
  • Save time by using the estimate and invoicing feature in QBO, set up sales tax, and run sales tax reports, write checks, and record journal entries in QBO.
