Have you always wanted to bring a food product or recipe to market? If so, this class is for you! Learn about what is involved and what you need to know to do it. A team of experts from the UGA Food Science program, The Georgia Department of Agriculture, the Small Business Development Center, and other entities come together to provide comprehensive assistance tailored to the specific needs of food businesses. Support from Georgia AIM, the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission, and the Golden Triangle allow this class to be offered at a reduced rate. Assistance includes: Product & Process Development Label & Nutritional Facts Development Information on Facility Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Product Classification and Process Approvals Resources for Co-packing facilities Packaging design and Sensory Testing Ingredient Technology and Functionality Food Safety and Sanitation.
